Timeless book Loved this one as a child myself, reading now to my child。 I don't think I did the character voices as good as my Mum but we still enjoyed it! 。。 МНОГО голяма! Charming artwork and writing, but no one acted particularly upset at the tiger after it consumed all the food and drink。 I expected the mother to at least be annoyed。

As a huge fan of Judith Kerr's Mog books, I can't believe I'd never come across this title。 It was such a delightful, funny tale of a tiger who drops by the home of a girl and her mom and stays for tea but eats them out of house and home。 I was giggling out loud as a I read。 So fun! I realised while tidying up my bookshelves earlier this month that I no longer had a copy of this - one of my favourite books from when I was a child。 Immediately rectified, and rightly so。 It's still an absolute delight。 I realised while tidying up my bookshelves earlier this month that I no longer had a copy of this - one of my favourite books from when I was a child。 Immediately rectified, and rightly so。 It's still an absolute delight。 。。。more

I love Judith Kerr (RIP)。 This is a cute, fun book。 Not sure what the lesson would be- perhaps some guests are very greedy? Or maybe because the family was generous that kept everyone joyful and the tiger did not harm them? Either way, it’s a classic

This children's book was mentioned in The Midnight Library, and I thought it a good choice for my granddaughter, who loves animals of all kinds, and especially enjoys a tea party with her British Daddy。 It's a sweet story, a little dated since it was originally published in 1968, but enjoyable all the same。 This children's book was mentioned in The Midnight Library, and I thought it a good choice for my granddaughter, who loves animals of all kinds, and especially enjoys a tea party with her British Daddy。 It's a sweet story, a little dated since it was originally published in 1968, but enjoyable all the same。 。。。more

Lesson: Do not entertain a tiger for tea, they are not the best companions for such an event。Bonkers book with some entertainment amongst all the malarky。

I like a lot of things of this book which is why I'm giving it 4 stars: the imagination for one, the drawings, feeding strangers in need。 It's also one of my daughter's favourites。 I'm not giving it 5 stars because it is rather sexist in its subtext。 The biggest worry of mum is to have some dinner for dad when he comes home (apparently he is the only one in the household who needs dinner)。 When they are in trouble they need to wait for dad to come home to save the day (where the 'save' is just t I like a lot of things of this book which is why I'm giving it 4 stars: the imagination for one, the drawings, feeding strangers in need。 It's also one of my daughter's favourites。 I'm not giving it 5 stars because it is rather sexist in its subtext。 The biggest worry of mum is to have some dinner for dad when he comes home (apparently he is the only one in the household who needs dinner)。 When they are in trouble they need to wait for dad to come home to save the day (where the 'save' is just taking them to dinner outside)。 。。。more

1。 The book has received the award International Emmy Kids Award for Animation。2。 Appropriate for k-33。 The tiger who came to tea by Judith Kerr follows a day with a young girl, Sophie。 The day turns to a rainy day so Sophie must stay indoors with her mum and she cannot go to the park。 Sophie's rainy day turns interesting when a hungry tiger shows up at the door for tea。 4。 I really enjoyed reading this book。 The illustrations are just enough on each page, they enhance the story and don't take a 1。 The book has received the award International Emmy Kids Award for Animation。2。 Appropriate for k-33。 The tiger who came to tea by Judith Kerr follows a day with a young girl, Sophie。 The day turns to a rainy day so Sophie must stay indoors with her mum and she cannot go to the park。 Sophie's rainy day turns interesting when a hungry tiger shows up at the door for tea。 4。 I really enjoyed reading this book。 The illustrations are just enough on each page, they enhance the story and don't take away from the words。 This book takes the imagination of a young girl and creates a fun story。 5。 One in class use for this book would be reading the book with the whole class and then create a worksheet with drawing for the student to complete with the prompt 'If I heard a knock at the door there would be a ______"。 Another in class use would be to after reading the book make a worksheet labeled 'My tea party', on the worksheet you can have prompts such as 'I would invite, I would eat'。 。。。more

In the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea, the line is thin, the color is bright, and the shape shown in 2-D and it is easy to identify what is shown in the image。 Texture gives a flat surface and composition shows Negative Space that means It is used to show the wide extent of the area such as the blank background。 This is a higher-level understanding picture book because after reading this book, I still didn't understand what the author wanted to express but in the end, I felt distressed because In the story The Tiger Who Came to Tea, the line is thin, the color is bright, and the shape shown in 2-D and it is easy to identify what is shown in the image。 Texture gives a flat surface and composition shows Negative Space that means It is used to show the wide extent of the area such as the blank background。 This is a higher-level understanding picture book because after reading this book, I still didn't understand what the author wanted to express but in the end, I felt distressed because the tiger never comes back。 。。。more
